Latest WT: "Facebook = a powerful medicine"??
by cedars inok, i think the writing department has well and truly lost the plot now!.
on page 14 of the august 15th watchtower, there is an extensive section on the perils of the internet, with the caption "do you heed bible-based warnings about the internet?
" in large intimidating letters.

00DAD, I think "abhorrent apostacy" would make a universal, easy to apply, fail-safe and undeniable disfelloshipping offense.

GB: "We don't know if Jehovah wants us to build new headquarters, but we're doing it anyway..."
by cedars inthe latest august 15th watchtower study edition features an interesting review of the society's annual meeting.. one comment struck me as evidence that the governing body isn't quite as "discreet" as it claims.. here is what the article said:.
"there are plans to develop a 248-acre (100 ha) property at warwick.
'although we are not yet certain of jehovahs will regarding warwick,' said brother pierce, 'we are proceeding to develop the site with the intention of relocating the world headquarters of jehovahs witnesses there.

Does anyone else think that's the Watchtower emblem on the pillar just to the left of the main entrance?
Nah, Cedars. It is the Mickey Mouse logo; just looks al ittle fuzzy in the distance...

It is also about the the "I" in BITE.
By preempting the legitimate "what (tf) about Armageddon" question, they get to control how the R&F are introduced to the news that Mother will be moving. Any questioning at a later time would conveniently be pointed to the already given answer (duh, dummies) by no other but a GB member....

Brothers, shouldn't you "make certain of all things" before commencing with such a project.
Shouldn't you give a "prayerful consideration" first, ask for a "spiritual guidance", receive "Jehovah's blessing" and then and only then blow few hundred million dollars?
Or is it all because:"...Then our property in Brooklyn can be sold."
Posting guidelines prevent me from saying what I trully think of you, @&%*@#*&$%s!

Bull about Facebook. They only wish they'd thought of it before Zuckerberger. Can you see the society owning a $100+ Billy company LOVED by young people!
Sure beats some lousy real estate holdings...

Pg. 17:“...Although we are not yet
certain of Jehovah’s will regarding Warwick,”
said Brother Pierce, “we are proceeding to develop
the site with the intention of relocating
the world headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses
there.”
Hmmm, shouldn't your stiff ass first make certain? At least as certain as regarding blood transfusions and shunning, to name a few..

Watchtower admits, "We are like the Catholic Church"
by Juan Viejo2 incalvin rouse describes himself as "general counsel for the national organization of jehovah's witnesses out of brooklyn, new york.".
while representing one of the defendants during a trial held in san mateo county court in redwood city, california, on february 22, 2012, rouse made this amazing statement:.
"ordinarily, i wouldn't be here, but this is one our 13,000 congregations in the united states.
